Violin/Fiddle Lesson: How To Form A Good Violin/Fiddle Bow Grip (Bow Hold)

Learning to play violin or fiddle isn't easy, even if you have a private violin/fiddle teacher. If you don't have access to private violin or fiddle lessons, and because you don't have a teacher or instructor you adopt a "problem" bow grip (bow hold), you'll soon find that your violin/fiddle playing isn't progressing the way you'd hoped.

In this free lesson, I demonstrate how to form a violin/fiddle bow grip (hold) that will serve you well regardless of the style of fiddle music you want to play. This grip/hold will give you the bow control you need, allow you to maintain good bow balance, and let you get a true, consistent tone across the length of your bow. This violin/fiddle lesson is appropriate for adult beginners and intermediate fiddlers (and any other players who suspect that maybe their bow hold isn't all it could be).
